The Grief Circle: A Free Virtual Support Group for Those Directly by the LA Wildfires

Meets every Saturday starting February 1 from 9:30-10:45am PST

A weekly virtual drop-in support group for those directly affected by the fires in LA. The goal is to create a space where vulnerability is met with compassion, and where each participant feels heard, seen, and valued.

Virtual LA Grief Support Gatherings with Grief Therapist Claire Bidwell Smith

Meets every Tuesday at 4:00pm PST 

Share and connect with others who are grieving the devastation at this weekly drop-in support group for those directly affected by the fires in LA. Learn more and register here.

LA Fire Support Group for Women of Color

Meets every Wednesday at 3:00pm PST 

Join this weekly support group for women of color who are navigating the aftermath of the LA wildfires. Led by wellness practitioner Shanetta McDonald, this space will include meditations, somatic movement, and group discussions.

My Grief Angels: Free Virtual Peer-led Grief Support for Those Who Lost Loves Ones or Homes in LA Wildfires

Ongoing dates

Led by volunteers of the non-profit My Grief Angels, this support group connects individuals who have lost loved ones or homes, fostering a safe environment for healing and shared experiences among peers.

Online Wildfire Home Loss Process Group

Every Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm PST

This a free group for those who have lost their homes in the January Wildfires in and around Los Angeles. We will navigate the complexity of loss, grief, traumatic shock, and the many other material and psychological losses in a safe and compassionate space.

Animal Fostering & Resources

Los Angeles FIRE Evacuation Animal Services Hotline

If you have lost your pets due to the wildfires and are needing assistance to find them, please call the Los Angeles FIRE Evacuation Animal Services Hotline at 213-270-8155. 

Pasadena Humane Society

Seeking those who are able to foster a dog or a cat for at least one week; email foster@pasadenahumane.org if interested.

Sante D’Or Foundation

Currently in need of temporary fosters for displaced cats.

Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends has two locations to provide dog and cat food to the community. Both will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. no appointment required.

Andrea Weaver is a birth doula and owner of Nurture and Flow who is currently offering free virtual childbirth classes and essential bags to expecting or postpartum families impacted by the wildfires.
